Chadwick and Chasin Join MR Industry's Hall of Fame

In the US, industry body The Market Research Council (MRC) has inducted Simon Chadwick and Josh Chasin into its Hall of Fame.

MRC logoChasin is Principal of consultancy KnotSimpler and is awarded in the Active Practitioner category, while Chadwick, Managing Partner of Cambiar Consulting, is awarded for Lifetime Achievement.

Chasin is recognized for ongoing contributions to audience measurement research and Chadwick for his work over four decades in advancing the development of strategy based on consumer insights. The winners will be celebrated at the MRC's 48th annual Hall of Fame ceremony, sponsored by OvationMR, on July 25th.

The Council was founded in 1927 and describes its mission as 'advancing the science and application of market research and encouraging study of the profession in colleges and universities'. Past Hall of Fame inductees include George Gallup, Daniel Yankelovich, David Ogilvy, Jack Honomichl, Tod Johnson and Reg Baker.

Chasin is a past President of the MRC, and has served as Chief Measurability Officer of VideoAmp and CRO of Comscore; VP, Marketing at Arbitron; and CEO / President of both the Simmons Market Research Bureau and Northstar Interactive.

Chadwick's illustrious career includes serving as Global CEO of NOP World, and leadership of Research International in the UK, USA and Italy. He was Chair of CASRO in the early 2000's, a leading figure in the launch of the Insights Association, as well as its inaugural Chair (2017), and serves as Editor-in-Chief of ESOMAR's global online magazine Research World. He is also, MRC notes, 'the only CEO of a research firm in the West who has stood trial for conducting market research'. He was acquitted.
