France's QCG and Socioscan Join Synovate

Paris-based ARTeam, the holding company for agencies QCG and Socioscan, is to become part of Synovate following its acquisition by Aegis Group.

Socioscan, founded in 1993, was brought together in 2003 with the much newer Qualitative Consulting Group (QCG). It provides both quant and qual research solutions to a number of blue chip marketers.

Stephane Courqueux, current MD of Synovate in France will lead the expanded business, joined on the management team by Georges Guelfand and Thierry Pailleux, MDs of QCG and Socioscan respectively. The companies will continue to trade separately but will share resources.

Global CEO Adrian Chedore says the acquisition, in the world's 4th largest research market, is strategically important for his company: 'Synovate France will now have significant additional expertise in qualitative research, as well as sector experience in automotive, beverages, FMCG, fast food restaurants and luxury goods. The fit between the companies is extremely complementary and we see great prospects for Synovate France in the future'.
