Chinese Internet survey company MFC Insight has launched its Automotive Panel, a database of 30,000 Mainland Chinese households who either own an automobile, or are planning to buy one in the near term.
Phase one of the panel setup involved each household registering the make, model, and year of the car they either currently own, or intend to buy in the near future, allow MFC to build in segmentation.
Micah Truman, the agency's CEO, says the initiative will allow clients 'swift, accurate market information on a previously unreachable Chinese consumer segment... With over 2.3 million cars sold in China in 2004, all eyes are on the burgeoning Chinese automotive market'.
