New Senior VP at TNS Media Research

TNS has this week announced the appointment of Dr. Pat Pellegrini as Senior Vice President of TNS Media Research. He will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of TNS Media Research's methods and procedures, as well as the development of new applications in the field of audience measurement.

Dr. Pellegrini brings over ten years of research experience to TNS Media Research, including expertise in sample design, panel design and management, longitudinal data analysis and mathematical/statistical modelling.

Pat joins TNS Media Research from BBM Canada, where he was Vice President, Research, responsible for sample design and control, including methodological enhancements, and was the chief designer on all BBM Canada research projects. Notably this included oversight of the introduction and on-going evaluation of the Personal Portable Meter (PPMSM). In addition, Pat developed and managed relationships with international partners including TNS.

Prior to BBM, Pat was Manager, Modelling Sales for MapInfo Canada. Additional experience includes positions at Ohio State University's department of geography, the National Centre for Geographic Information and Analysis, and the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada.

According to George Shahab, Chief Operating Officer at TNS Media Research, "Pat brings exceptional experience to the TNS Media Research team, as he brings wide ranging research, measurement and analysis expertise to managing key products and services. His knowledge and extensive background, will allow TNS Media Research to continue to innovate and develop measurement services that are relevant for today's TV realities."
