Michigan-based custom MR firm Gongos Research has hired Katherine Ephlin as Senior Project Director for its Retail / Services division, which has seen over 50% growth this year.
The expansion is based partly on a growing relationship with the division's largest client, Best Buy, which is using Gongos' Web-based survey applications and online Web communities to better understand key customer segments.
Ephlin, previously a Senior Brand Analyst and Manager of Strategic Marketing for GM, has more than a decade of experience in both quant and qual research. In her new role she will manage and provide strategic direction for a newly created Web community developed for Best Buy.
Camille Nicita, Principal and Head of the Retail / Services division, says Ephlin's strong background in product development, segmentation, reporting, and analysis will complement the team as it evolves traditional methodologies toward the Web.
