In the US, ratings giant Arbitron has increased VP National Group Services Rich Tunkel's responsibilities to include Northeast sales, as Radio Station Services Regional Manager.
Tunkel has been with Arbitron for the past 12 years. In his most recent role, he oversaw all aspects of sales and service relationships with the firm's media clients and acted as a liaison for Arbitron's Hispanic broadcast customers. Previous positions with the firm have included Senior Sales Manager of National Group Services, Manager of New Business Development for the cable division, VP of Radio Sales at Scarborough Research, and RSS Trainer. Prior to joining Arbitron, Tunkel worked as Account Executive in the radio sales division of ad sales and marketing group Interep.
'Rich has an extraordinary sense of professionalism, creativity, and focus,' said SVP Radio Sales, Brad Kelly. 'His intense work ethic and optimistic nature endear him to both his clients and his colleagues. As the industry evolves, Rich is well suited to lead the RSS Northeastern Regional into the future.'
Last week, Arbitron promoted Tom O'Sullivan to the new position of VP/Diary Market Development (www.mrweb.com/drno/news7953.htm ).
