Harris Interactive has appointed Stephen Wallace as its new Chief Information Officer, responsible for infrastructure and information security.Wallace, who will be based in the US, has more than 20 years' industry experience and most recently was an independent consultant for the Health Information Exchange, where he worked on a project to exchange secure health information between hospitals, labs and physician offices. He has also previously worked for Constellation Brands as Senior Vice President and CIO, and for Xerox Corporation where he was VP of Information Technology and Customer Administration. Wallace holds an MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Bachelor of Operations Management from Syracuse University.
Jim Frederickson, Harris' EVP of Global Research Operations and IT, commented: 'Steve possesses a unique combination of hands-on technical knowledge and business acumen. He is a team builder, communicator, and facilitator with a long history of effecting organizational transformation through business performance and systems management.'
Wallace's new position will also entail responsibility for the GlobalSync solutions platform, business support systems, data warehouse and business intelligence systems, which all support the company in North America, Europe and Asia.
