UK-based sports sales and marketing group Goodform has acquired sports market research agency SportsWise. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.SportsWise, which was founded in Norwich in 2002, conducts research studies on behalf of organisations including The Football League and the Rugby Football League. For the past six years, it has carried out The Premier League's Fan Survey, to provide league and clubs with performance and customer satisfaction data. The firm also undertakes membership, sponsorship, branding, and facilities research projects.
Goodform MD Stuart Dalrymple will become Strategy Director of the new company, while Jon Downer, former Research Director at SportsWise, will take the role of MD and continue to oversee the day-to-day running of projects and management of clients. SportsWise founder Roger Munby will continue as Client Services Director.
