Nielsen has appointed Christophe Cambournac as President, Asia Pacific and India, succeeding Nonoy Niles who will be leaving the company after fourteen years.
Cambournac, who joined Nielsen in Europe in 2004, was most recently MD for BASES Asia Pacific and Greater China, based in Hong Kong. Prior to joining the firm, he was MD of Ipsos Marketing and Ipsos/ASI in France, and before that, he worked for Infratest Burke.
In his new role, Cambournac leads Nielsen's business initiatives in Japan, Korea, Australia, New Zealand, India, ASEAN and several other South Asian markets. He is based in Singapore and reports to Chairman and CEO David Calhoun.
Niles joined Nielsen in 1994 as MD, Philippines. He then served as Chief Client Services Officer, Asia Pacific before taking the role of President, Asia Pacific and India in 2003. Before working for Nielsen, he managed the regional market research activities of Procter and Gamble's Asia Pacific division. He is leaving Nielsen to return to the Philippines to engage in a portfolio of new ventures in his home country.
