US-based entertainment, media and technology specialist Interpret has hired TV researcher Ben Spergel to lead the expansion of its Television Strategy and Insights division.Interpret, which was founded in 2006 by three former Nielsen Entertainment execs, helps clients plan, test and measure content on new media platforms.
Spergel joins from Ipsos MediaCT, where he worked for seven years, most recently as SVP, Media and Technology, overseeing all business development, client service and strategic planning for the company's syndicated TV Dailies product. Before this, he was Director of Ad Sales and Primary Research at Lifetime Entertainment, and he served as an Analyst at MGM Worldwide Television, where he managed sales and distribution research. Earlier in his career, he was Guest Relations Co-ordinator at NBC Television.
