US public policy research firm Abt Associates has named former Nielsen data scientist Michael Link as President and CEO of its survey, opinion, and public policy research business Abt SRBI.

The division was formed after Abt Associates' acquisition of SRBI (Schulman, Ronca & Bucuvalas) in 2007, and offers a full range of research services for public opinion and public policy surveys, as well as market research. Link (pictured) spent the last nearly nine years as Nielsen's Chief Behavioral Methodologist and Senior VP of its Data Science Institute. He also oversaw its Singapore Innovation Hub; a collaboration with the Singapore Economic Development Board to create new measurement strategies.
