Nielsen has launched an online measurement platform called Mobile Game Tracking (MGT), to provide data and insight into the performance and consumer sentiment surrounding mobile game titles.MGT will survey a group of 1,200 mobile gamers each week, to enable developers to understand the market appeal of mobile games, segmented by gameplayer behavior and demographics; and whether marketing plans are impacting consumer audiences over time. MGT clients can also monitor how consumers become aware of specific titles and whether a game drives recommendations from existing players.
Michael Flamberg, VP and General Manager of Games, comments: 'In a rapidly changing mobile games market, consumer behavior can often seem elusive and difficult to predict. Nielsen Mobile Game Tracking allows developers to efficiently measure a mobile title's potential, recognize strengths and weaknesses within the market and to track their improvement over time'.
