Norstat Group Promotes M&A Man Beck to CFO Role

Norway-based panels and data collection firm Norstat has promoted its former M&A leader Mats Beck to Chief Financial Officer, as the company gears up for further growth.

Mats BeckBeck joined the company in early 2020 as Chief Strategy and M&A Officer and has led an active team, completing seven strategic buys across five European markets, significantly strengthening Norstat's European base. The acquired companies are Danish firm DMA Research; Amsterdam-based firm Respondenten.nl; Swiss company TestingTime; Hoorn, Netherlands-based CG Research; Nordic online data supplier Userneeds; Oslo's Polling & Statistics; and finally UK company Panelbase. Beck also led the process of selling Norstat to Nalka Invest, Kirk Kapital and Ilmarinen Pension Fund in April this year.

Before joining the company Beck was Head of M&A at GlobalConnect, after leading strategy and M&A assignments as a management consultant at Capgemini Consulting. Norstat CEO Erling Eriksen comments: 'I am thrilled to welcome Mats as our new CFO.
