Beck joined the company in early 2020 as Chief Strategy and M&A Officer and has led an active team, completing seven strategic buys across five European markets, significantly strengthening Norstat's European base. The acquired companies are Danish firm DMA Research; Amsterdam-based firm Respondenten.nl; Swiss company TestingTime; Hoorn, Netherlands-based CG Research; Nordic online data supplier Userneeds; Oslo's Polling & Statistics; and finally UK company Panelbase. Beck also led the process of selling Norstat to Nalka Invest, Kirk Kapital and Ilmarinen Pension Fund in April this year.
Before joining the company Beck was Head of M&A at GlobalConnect, after leading strategy and M&A assignments as a management consultant at Capgemini Consulting. Norstat CEO Erling Eriksen comments: 'I am thrilled to welcome Mats as our new CFO. His success in developing our M&A platform and his deep understanding of our financials makes him perfect to lead our finance team. Mats has been a vital part of our success, and I am confident that his leadership will be key to helping Norstat achieve its future ambitions'. Beck adds: ' I am excited to contribute further to our vision of becoming the leading data collection provider in Europe, [and] look forward to working more closely with our talented finance team - a team I am fortunate to know very wel'.
