Discuss Launches AI Agent Research Project Solution

May 29 2025

Discuss, the Seattle-based MR tech company, has launched a research solution called Discuss Now, which uses AI agents to find respondents, conduct interviews and deliver insights in a matter of hours.

Simon GlassThe agents can be integrated into the broader Discuss platform to provide a hybrid human-led and AI-led research option. The new solution includes three agents:

  • Project Agent, which takes in information about users' target profiles and 'instantly finds, evaluates and identifies the best audiences' from a pool of millions of vetted individuals. These span more than 150 countries, 100,000 job titles and 290,000 skills categories.
  • Interview Agent conducts audio-led and video-led conversations including intelligent prompts and probes, and
  • Insights Agent, which can analyse thousands of hours of interviews and provide summaries including key themes, and links all findings to the research objective.

The agents are trained on Discuss' data from millions of conversations conducted over a decade, and can be augmented with project specific data by teams - the latter includes project briefs, participants' past responses, industry reports, and the interview styles of top human moderators.

CEO Simon Glass (pictured) comments: 'Our vision at Discuss has always been to help global organizations shatter assumptions by removing the barriers to understanding their customers. Human-led conversations will always be a central part of that equation, but we also see that AI-led interviews can help time-strapped marketers, UX, and insights teams quickly and easily keep a pulse on customer perceptions and feedback. We're excited to be the first offering solutions for either scenario.'
