Another Great Year for Basis Global

May 29 2025

Transatlantic insight consultancy Basis Global has reported outstanding results for its full year 2024-25, with turnover up 27% to £37.7m and gross profit up 37%.

Rune MortensenBasis employs around 140 people across offices in the UK and USA, and its services include qual and quant survey research, behavioural sciences, cultural insights and semiotics, creative illustration and design, with a strong focus on AI and big data. A year ago it launched a new team based in Scottsdale, AZ promising to deliver what it described as 'the world's first Generative Business Intelligence solution' (GenBI) - this uses up-to-the-minute intelligence rather than being trained on data which stops at a specific date, as with other AI products; and more easily handles inputs across languages.

During the last twelve months the business has added 45 new client partnerships and won awards from Quirk and the MRS. Growth has been driven by rising demand for flexible tracking, segmentation and strategy-first consulting work, including expanded use of AI Personas for faster audience insight.

'The market isn't just rewarding scale right now', says Group CEO Rune Mortensen (pictured). 'It's rewarding clarity. Clients want partners who can help them act quickly and confidently, not just produce data. That's what we've built Basis to deliver - and it's what we'll keep doubling down on.'

The revenue growth figure just beats last year's 26%, which at the time Mortensen said was 'absolutely exceptional for Basis'. Not so, it would appear.
