Insights platform Discuss has released the latest version of its software, promising 'exceptionally detailed and accurate session recaps, summaries, themes and quotes' from its Genie AI suite, as well as greatly enhanced multiple language features and more options for digging into the data behind summariesThe firm is based in Seattle, and offers an enterprise-level consumer conversation platform combining video with qual research workflow. Its People Experience Platform offers tools for research projects, including auto-created screening questionnaires, video highlight reels and discussion guide suggestions. A year ago it launched AI-based solution Genie, which carries out qualitative MR admin tasks such as creating summary reports from hours of interviews - and has been upgraded each quarter since.
The latest version can summarize and find themes across multiple languages and countries, providing supporting points and statements for each theme - this means Genie can be used across the more than 100 countries where the rest of the Discuss platform is currently used for qual research. Discuss says Genie makes use of the latest LLMs while ensuring clients' data isn't stored or used to inform them; and also claims that its language model is 'twice as accurate as other solutions', accounting for components like accents and native dialects.
The 'Summer release' also includes faster review of respondent activities and enhanced editing and compiling of clips and highlight reels, while linking them more effectively to the source material for confidence in results.
Jilleun Eglin, Senior Director of Product at Discuss, comments: 'With this release, we're excited to help brands and agencies scale human-centricity in the new era of market research. We're not just addressing existing challenges; we're equipping researchers to lead the way in shaping the future of qualitative insights with the most innovative tools and resources at their fingertips'.
Discuss University, described as a new virtual launchpad for all customers, also forms part of the new release.
