In the US, digital media measurement company VideoAmp has announced the promotions of Sharon Lee to EVP, General Counsel, Claudia-Celine Schachter to EVP of Finance and People; and the appointment of Melva Goffney Benoit to Vice President of Content Sports and Sales.
Founded in 2014, VideoAmp is headquartered in Los Angeles and New York with offices across the US, and last year announced partnerships with Disney, Warned Bros. Discovery, AMG, dentsu and YouTube, as it pushed to establish itself as an alternative measurement currency to Nielsen - it also raised $150m in growth funding in September. In January this year it announced that founder Ross McCray would step down as CEO, while reports suggested it would cut around 20% of its staff. The firm recently won certification from the US 'Joint Industry Committee', alongside Comscore.
Lee (pictured top) has been the company's legal counsel for the past four years, most recently as Interim Chief Legal Officer, and before that as SVP, Deputy General Counsel. Before joining VideoAmp she was Principal, SVP and Counsel at financial services firm Wilshire Associates. Schachter (pictured middle) joined the company in August last year as VP of Finance, and previously worked as Vice President of Finance, People & Legal at e-scooter and bike share company, Spin.
In her new role Lee will oversee VideoAmp's legal and privacy affairs, with a focus on legal strategy, risk mitigation and compliance. Schachter will oversee the firm's financial strategy and workplace culture initiatives, both reporting to CFO Paul Ross.
Goffney Benoit (pictured below) previously held senior executive positions for media, entertainment, and consumer brands including Disney, Comedy Central, Cartoon Network, NBC, FOX and Nickelodeon. In her new role she will take charge of VideoAmp's content and sports strategy, with a focus on cross platform measurement. She will also work to grow revenue within its sell side client base, specifically the linear TV network ecosystem as well as sports verticals such as NBA, NFL and NHL. She reports to SVP of Sell Revenue Bryan Goski.
Ross says of the appointments: 'Sharon, Claudia and Melva bring a wealth of experience and a profound understanding of VideoAmp's core business and strategic vision to their new leadership roles. Their new roles highlight not only their vast expertise and dedication but also their proven leadership, making them invaluable assets as we drive VideoAmp's continued growth'.
