Human8 Debuts AI-Based Innovation Tools

Insight consultancy Human8 has launched a new offering which it says integrates artificial intelligence throughout the innovation process, from identifying opportunity spaces to optimizing concepts.

Human8, known as InSites Consulting until a rebrand fifteen months ago, employs more than 800 people across 22 offices, and is the result of nine acquisitions in the last six years: Direction First, Columinate, eÿeka, Join the Dots, ABN Impact, Answer, Space Doctors, Gongos and Happy Thinking People.

The firm says its new solutions are based on well-established innovation approaches, enhanced with the integration of AI which 'supports and amplifies human creativity and insight'. The tools aim to address three key challenges in the innovation process: a lack of depth in insights or problem statements; not going beyond ideas that are expected; and a lack of rapid iteration.

Tools include the Insight Reframing Canvas, which Head of Innovation Thomas Troch (pictured) says helps organisations to 'spend more time on the problem space before jumping to solutions'. The Canvas taps Gen AI to assist in identifying underlying patterns and root causes often missed by traditional methods, according to Troch, to ensure 'that we are not just generating ideas, but creating solutions that are truly differentiated and relevant'.

Other applications include AI Concept Optimization, with iterative testing and optimization; AI Market Pulse, which analyzes competitive product launches to detect emerging market trends and reverse-engineer problem statements; and Supercharged Workshops, combining human expertise with AI to reframe insights and generate transformative ideas. Annelies Verhaeghe, the company's Chief Platform Officer sums up: 'At Human8, we recognize the transformative potential of AI in market research. We leverage a suite of specialized AI assistants for different tasks, from ensuring data accuracy to sparking creative leaps with unexpected ideas. These are designed within a secure walled garden so client data is safe and only used for specific projects'.
