Kantar has teamed up with FMCG consultancy North Star to launch a dedicated shopper insights platform called Illuminator, targeted at time-poor execs and teams working for 'ambitious challenger brands'.As reported on www.thegrocer.co.uk , North Star co-founder Kieran South (pictured) said the 'intuitive and easy-to-use' platform would serve 'super-busy' founders and commercial teams, giving them 'exclusive' access to Worldpanel data, which is collected from around 30,000 UK households.
'Historically, data has been super-expensive' said South, 'and you need experts on the team to interpret it'. Illuminator will provide access for 'significantly less' money, informing users on 'what's being bought by who and why'. Kantar Worldpanel growth director Sam Sudlow said the partnership and launch were 'a win for all concerned, and ultimately will help the very shoppers themselves that we hold at the heart of our business'.
Launching later this month, Illuminator will be offered to challenger brands as an annual subscription with a pay-monthly option.
Earlier this week Kantar and Swiss firm Redslim announced a new partnership, adding Redslim's SPRINT BI front-end to WorldpanelPlus data.
Worldpanel as a brand celebrated its 21st birthday in the spring - as covered by DRNO it was initially launched by TNS, whose pre-existing Europanel, Latinpanel and Asiapanel products it brought together.
