NIQ Integrates Consumer Panel Data on Discover Platform

July 11 2024

Consumer intelligence company NIQ has brought its retail measurement and consumer panel data together on its NIQ Discover platform, for use by its Consumer Panel clients globally.

Kris EwingThe Discover platform taps a new cloud-based architecture and aggregation engine providing faster data accessibility and user flexibility. According to the company this affords 'endless possibilities to analyze consumer behaviors to drive growth'. Key benefits include visuals putting on-demand insights side-by-side with retail measurement data; customised analysis building for clients looking for their own split of people groups, facts, products, retailers, geographies, periods and demographics; on-demand access to advanced analytical models like Super Shifting, Key Item Ranking, Assortment Optimizer and Portfolio Trial and Repeat; and easy access to AI tool NIQ Ask Arthur.

The company is also enhancing the Consumer Panel Services (CPS) feeding into Discover, with data on consumers across 23 markets. This includes the expansion of panel sample sizes by 250,000 globally, with broader coverage and representation across its North America, 'West Europe' and Pacific regions; and expanded analytical capacity through a combination of consumer experts with the firm's Retail Measurement, Consumer Panel and other data.

Kris Ewing (pictured), the firm's President, Global CPS comments: 'NIQ has made significant investments in our global consumer panel capabilities in the past year, enhancing performance, quality and usability of data driven insights. The launch of this modern, cloud-based platform is one of several enhancements we are making to our Consumer Panel offerings globally. Clients will now get access to panel data together with retail measurement, delivering a connected user experience'.

NIQ combined with GfK in 2023, and now has operations in more than 95 countries representing 97% of global GDP.
