Acquisition for US MR Logistics Firm Qlarity Access

In the US, research logistics company Qlarity Access has acquired full service firm Beall Research, which specializes in advanced quant research projects and understanding the emotional drivers of purchasing behavior.

Based in Missouri, Qlarity was established in 1997 and is led by Co-CEOs Colson Steber and Curtis Burrow, who purchased the company in 2016. The firm offers research design, audience access, project management, data collection, analysis and reporting, as well as custom logistics plans for clients. The company places a particular emphasis on giving clients confidence in results, and to that end uses the 'Xperience Qlarity Formula' to conduct every project.

The acquired company was founded in 2003 by Anne Beall, who has led it since. Her long-time colleague Mark Geniesse joined in 2015 as VP of Quantitative Research and has helped lead the firm as Senior Vice President in recent years. The firm has developed a model of the emotional drivers of behavior, which identifies the specific feelings behind purchasing decisions and brand recommendations.

In addition to broadening its range of services and adding expertise in advanced research techniques and methods, Qlarity says the integration of Beall Research will strengthen and complement the Formula. The buy grew out of a decade-long friendship between Steber and Anne Beall, who has stepped back from her entrepreneurial role but remains an advisor to the management.
