Funds and New AI Tool for Research Platform Knit

September 19 2024

In Austin, Texas, end-to-end automated consumer research platform Knit has secured $9m in funding, and launched an AI-driven tool called Report-Ready Insights.

Funds and New AI Tool for Research Platform KnitKnit was founded in 2021 and aims to use AI to 'democratize rigorous, agency-level research' across organisations. The firm is led by CEO Aneesh Dhawan and CTO Raahish Kalaria, and promises insights professionals and researchers the ability to conduct qual and quant 'agency-quality' research in days rather than weeks. The new funds are being used to launch Report-Ready Insights, which takes time-intensive tasks away from researchers.

The funding round was led by Revolution's Rise of the Rest Seed Fund, with participation from a number of new and existing investors. New backers include Osage Venture Partners, whose Managing Partner Sean Dowling is joining Knit's Board of Directors.

Dhawan says the firm's goal has always been to make researchers' jobs easier. 'We're excited about Report-Ready Insights' he says, 'because it does just that - allowing our customers to go from business questions to stakeholder-ready top line reports in days, without compromising speed, cost, or quality. It's ultimately changing the way research is done'. Kalaria adds: 'The market is filled with 'off-the-shelf' AI analysis tools, which often lead to generic outputs, forcing the researcher to spend time, money, and manual efforts converting data to stakeholder reports. What we are doing is different." Knit is taking a unique approach to AI - one that begins with the human researcher'.
