In Cincinnati, open end analysis and verbatim coding solutions firm Ascribe has launched two new AI- and NLP-based tools, Theme Extractor 2.0 and Ask Ascribe, which it says will enhance productivity and accuracy for market researchers and data analysts.Ascribe's software is used to analyze verbatim comments from 'any' channel or language, and includes AI Coder, which allows responses to be coded and a summary delivered within an hour. Two weeks ago it announced a collaboration and close integration with survey software firm Voxco, backed by a strategic investment from Voxco owner Terminus Capital Partners.
The new tools tap Ascribe's 25 years of expertise in text analysis solutions along with AI and Natural Language Processing (NLP) advancements, and are available in the firm's Coder and CX Inspector suites. Theme Extractor 2.0 automatically codes over 95% of responses in a data set and provides a 'human-like' codebook with structured nets and descriptive theme-based codes. The firm says it delivers fewer overlapping codes and uncoded responses, therefore requiring minimal manual intervention. Ask Ascribe provides a conversational interface, allowing users to ask questions such as 'What are the main themes in this feedback?' or 'How can I improve my Net Promoter Score?, and receive immediate answers based on the data.
Rick Kieser (pictured), now Chief Strategy Officer of 'Voxco + Ascribe' says the two new products 'enable researchers to move from raw data to powerful insights faster than ever before and will become essential tools for anyone looking to improve their research process'.
