Funds for Swiss User Engagement Firm Albatross

October 17 2024

Swiss firm Albatross has raised EUR 3 million in funding, to drive development of its software optimizing user engagement in real time.

Albatross says traditional recommendation systems cope poorly with companies' rapidly evolving catalogues as well as consumer trends, losing customers - and that traditional A/B testing is too cumbersome to keep up. Its own AI-driven solutions provide user journeys that evolve in real time with each user interaction, changing the display of a product as well as which product is suggested.

'Most recommendation systems react to user intent', says Khan, 'but this approach falls short in a world where catalogs and user interests evolve rapidly. To make things worse, traditional technologies over-focus on popular items, leaving most catalogs undiscovered and leading to user fatigue. Our platform ensures fresh recommendations, dynamically matching users with the right products and at the right time'. Marc Moesser, Investor at redalpine adds: 'The platform that Albatross is building has the potential to be a game-changer for the industry, aiming to bring a sophistication to personalization for businesses of all sizes that is currently only seen at companies like YouTube and Netflix'.

The funding round was led by pan-European venture capital firm redalpine, with participation from Daphni, and the firm is online at www.usealbatross.ai .
