US Researcher Hypothesis Acquired by London's Elixirr

In London, consultancy firm Elixirr has announced the acquisition of US-based insights and strategy company Hypothesis, which it says will enhance its delivery of end-to-end solutions for clients.

Elixirr was founded in 2009 and has been quoted on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange since 2020. In addition to strong organic growth the firm has made six previous acquisitions of boutique firms.

Hypothesis, founded in 2000 by Maria Stark and Jeff Seltzer and now with offices in Los Angeles and Seattle, combines consumer-centric qual research, advanced analytics, strategic thinking and data visualization, for clients 'of all sizes', with a focus on the consumer, technology and entertainment industries.

Elixirr says the two companies, who have recently worked together on a project, share both their 'challenger DNA' and an emphasis on 'bringing the consumer to the decision-making table'. In addition, Hypothesis' strong US presence and strong reputation will help accelerate Elixirr's growth across the Atlantic. Hypothesis CEO Maria Vallis (pictured), will now join Elixirr as Partner, based in Los Angeles.
