AI Firm Uniphore Buys ActionIQ and Infoworks

December 6 2024

Conversational AI and automation specialist Uniphore has acquired two data firms, ActionIQ and Infoworks, whose tech and expertise it says will extend its comprehensive end-to-end Enterprise AI platform and deliver 'the industry's first Zero Data AI Cloud'.

Umesh SachdevActionIQ's solutions are used by enterprise marketers, analysts and technologists to capture and use their customer data - online and off-line, from e-mail, CRM and clickstream - to build and launch personalized marketing campaigns. The VC-funded firm has also developed a 'Composable Zero-copy Data Platform', allowing user enterprises to connect their data from all sources and ready it for AI without a long set-up or integration process. Infoworks provides a platform including intelligent AI data agents which it says work to discover, identify, organize and clean enterprise data with little human input or oversight.

Uniphore says the resulting Zero Data AI Cloud removes data bottlenecks and delivers powerful AI capabilities while preserving customers' existing data landscape, while avoiding complex integration challenges. Clients of the combined company will be able to make use of all their data for AI initiatives without the need to move, transform or copy it, reducing time-to-results to weeks, not years, while maintaining high standards of governance and security.

Umesh Sachdev (pictured), CEO and co-founder of Uniphore says the acquisition mark 'a defining moment for Enterprise AI', enabling his firm to offer 'a Zero Data AI Cloud for the world's largest companies, equipping them with the tools to fast-track AI deployments and drive measurable business outcomes'.

ActionIQ is based in New York while the other two companies have their headquarters in Palo Alto, CA.

Uniphore appears to like buying companies in pairs: it previously snapped up UK-based voice capture specialist Red Box and behavioral tech firm Hexagone, within days of each other in February 2023. With technology now helping more than 750,000 end-users across 1,600 enterprises in 20 countries, the firm is online at www.uniphore.com .
