Radius Global MR Buys Texas Firm Illuminas

NYC-headquartered full service firm Radius Global Market Research has acquired Austin, Texas-based Illuminas North America.

Radius was founded in 1960, has offices across the US and globally, and offers the Brand Growth Navigator framework to clients in sectors including technology, financial services and consumer goods, promising to help them align insights with strategic priorities to maximize ROI. Having raised an unspecified amount of capital in January 2022, last year it made two acquisitions: London's Strive Insight Ltd in January and automotive-focused Michigan agency 7th Sense in December.

The firm has acquired strategic MR firm Illuminas North America, which was founded in the UK as Incepta in 2002, rebranded in 2006 and was bought out by its (US) management in 2016. The company specializes in using custom solutions and proprietary methods to 'bridge gaps in customer understanding'. It also has an office in Great Falls, Virginia following a merger sixteen months ago with Rockbridge Associates.

Radius says the buy will strengthen its capabilities across B2B and consumer markets, adding Illuminas' strength in data science and its deep expertise with technology and service-related industries.
