MR solutions firm Touchstone Research has launched Dial Tester, a content testing tool giving real-time audience feedback to help users optimize their content for engagement across 'all demographics, including kids, teens and young adults'.
Founded in 1991, Touchstone is a full-service research firm headquartered in New Haven, Connecticut, with expertise in sectors including youth and family, media and entertainment, technology, UX, toy and doll, CPG, food and beverage, apparel and retail, and VR/AR. The firm offers qual and quant research including custom online panels and communities, as well as technology and proprietary methodologies. Other recent solution launches include forensic watermarking solution Secure Content Testing (SCT); Conversational AI Surveys; and (AI-)Augmented Sampling.
The latest addition, Dial Tester, uses an intuitive dial or slider interface to allow participants to continuously rate their engagement or emotional response while viewing or listening to content (see image). The company says it is 'ideal' for a variety of content testing needs, including TV shows and movies, ads and commercials, podcasts and audio content, storyboards and animatics, live events and political campaigns.
The release features call-to-action buttons like 'tune out', 'like' and 'change channel'; an intuitive interface tested with kids, teens and adults; integration with SCT for secure testing; cross-device compatibility and the ability to conduct research in multiple languages and markets worldwide. Full service and DIY options are available.
CEO Aaron Burch says the new solution it 'a game-changer for content testing', and the answer to client requests for 'a solution that could do it all'. He adds: 'It's designed to deliver real-time insights that help our clients refine their content, maximize engagement, and connect with their audiences like never before'.
