Friend Takes MD Role at Wordibly

In the US, MR-focused transcription services firm Wordibly has appointed Bruce Friend as Managing Director. He will assume responsibilities from founder Kim Harrison, who will remain actively involved in the company's strategic vision.

Bruce FriendWordibly is the transcription arm of Focus Forward, which offers qual recruitment, incentive processing and coding of open-ended answers, and was founded by Harrison and Andrew Le Guelaff. The division was <36736 as Wordibly last year, and now offers a choice of transcription modes: Human only, Human + AI, and AI only, via an online ordering system, as well as customized solutions via its customer success team for B2B clients.

Friend brings more than thirty years of global experience in media measurement, entertainment research, brand insights and strategic planning, most recently from consumer insights platform Getwizer, and previously as Chief Product and Innovation Officer, and Chief Data Monetization Officer, at entertainment researcher Screen Engine/ASI. Earlier in his career he was Head of the Entertainment division at OTX; head of the Media and Entertainment division at Vision Critical, now Alida; and SVP of Research for Columbia TriStar Worldwide Marketing Group. He has also worked at firms including Disney, MTV and Saatchi & Saatchi.

In his new role, Friend will oversee all aspects of Wordibly's operations and lead the launch of a new eCommerce platform.
