Insights tech and panel / platform provider Toluna is to integrate the solutions of its subsidiary MetrixLab into its offering in Japan, and has appointed Xiaoming (Jonas) Ma as Group Account Director, Japan. Ma moves from MetrixLab's office in Shanghai.The firm's offer is based around its end-to-end, real-time consumer intelligence platform Toluna Start, while recent launches reflect its 'AI Everywhere' strategy. SmartCloud, an AI-powered tool for the analysis of open-ended survey responses, launched last May; ops quality protocol suite Qsphere in June, synthetic data suite HarmonAIze in September; conversational insights tool Qprobe in October; and synthetic research product Personas two weeks ago.
The group acquired research solutions provider MetrixLab in May 2023 from its Japan-based owner Macromill, Inc. Ma has worked for MetrixLab in Shanghai for more than a decade, initially as a Senior Research Manager and for the last six years as Group Client Director. In his new role he will drive the roll-out and provision of Toluna's enhanced market capabilities in Japan.
