In Amsterdam, global data, research and insights association ESOMAR has appointed Anne-Sophie Damelincourt - Director of Development for Strategir in France - as its new Council President, to serve for a three-year term beginning in April.

Damelincourt (pictured) replaces NewMR founder Ray Poynter, who will move to serve an additional year in a Past President capacity. The newly elected ESOMAR Council will officially begin their term in April 2025.
Other newly elected members, also serving for three years are Lucy Davison, CEO & founder of Keen as Mustard Marketing; Human8's Tom De Ruyck; Ipsos Germany Senior Director Harald Hasselmann; Herbert Häckel, MD of moweb research; Jean-Marc Lèger, founder and CEO/President of Canadian firm Leger; Martha Llobet, CEO of Q2Q Global Data Collection in Spain; Corrine Moy, Global VP of Marketing Science in the UK; and Krea India CEO Pravin Shekar.
ESOMAR DG Joaquim Bretcha says the new council comprises 'a remarkable group of leaders ready to take on the challenges and opportunities ahead'. He adds: 'I'd also like to personally thank our outgoing Council for their transformative contributions, which have shaped ESOMAR's path forward and laid a powerful foundation for the work ahead'.
