Data Cloud company Snowflake has appointed Mike Gannon as its Chief Revenue Officer, replacing Chris Degnan who has decided to retire.Snowflake's Data Cloud and Marketplace allow more than 11,000 customer firms to collaborate in building data applications. Its partners include customer data collection and modeling specialist Snowplow, AI-based analytics platform ThoughtSpot, audience targeting specialist OpenAP and Canadian marketing services and data firm Environics. Last month the company was selected to provide the cloud data platform for Barb's new Data Hub system for storing, processing and distributing its data.
Starting mid-month, Gannon (pictured) will be responsible for Snowflake's revenue and go-to-market teams, He joins from VMware by Broadcom, where he served most recently as President of Americas Sales, responsible for integrating both the VMware GTM functions and the Professional Services team. Previously he held sales leadership roles at EMC Corporation and Isilon Systems, playing a key role in building and expanding sales operations, driving market adoption, and strengthening customer engagement. He holds a B.A. from Oswego State University.
Snowflake CEO Sridhar Ramaswamy comments: 'We're thrilled to bring Mike on board.
