The KCC Certification Foundation, an independent organisation that certifies research agencies on two key ISO standards, has announced the departure of its leader of twenty years Ed van Eunen, with former ESOMAR Director General Finn Raben stepping into the role from 1st April.KCC audits agencies for ISO 27001, which covers data security, and ISO 20252, which covers the conduct of market research in all its facets. van Eunen has led the Foundation for nearly two decades, building it into a recognised and respected institute in the data and insights world. He will transition his role over the next few months to Raben (pictured), who was ESOMAR DG for some twelve and a half years from 2009 to 2022.
'Data security, data breaches and data legislation are regularly under the microscope in this era of rapidly evolving technology' says Raben. 'In that context, a well-functioning certification process is essential. Agencies that process large amounts of data are now obliged to meet the strictest security requirements, and it is increasingly important that the process of certification is also accredited so that clients and stakeholders can be assured that certified agencies are indeed meeting the highest data security requirements. As a long-time supporter of quality and our profession's own ISO standard, that's a challenge I'm happy to take on'.
